Banana Flambé


Ingredients


4 firm bananas

Juice of 1 orange

40g unsalted butter

50g caster sugar

40ml rum

120g apricot jam

Vanilla ice cream to serve

Preparation Method


Peel the bananas and slice in half lengthways.

 

Put the orange juice, butter and jam into a saucepan and bring to the boil.

Add the bananas and heat through.

 

Warm the rum, pour over the bananas and ignite.

Serve immediately with vanilla ice cream.
