Well made and good value. Steel appears to be of good quality and sharp. The blade is not the heaviest or thickest but that is reflected in the price. These are a good set of knifes for the home kitchen with practical handle material that looks good and offers traction and grip. I don’t like rubber and wood is not ideal for occasional dishwasher use to sanitise.

This set of 8 Professional X50 Micarta knives includes a 9cm paring, 13cm utility, 15cm and 20cm chefs, 13cm and 18cm santoku, 25cm bread and 25cm carving knife and comes with a stylish magnetic glass and blackened ash knife block.
Ergonomically designed for superior handling, the Professional X50 Micarta range combines our well-loved micarta handles with the finest German X50 steel blades.
Specially formulated to sit perfectly within your hand, our contoured, triple rivet micarta handles ensure superior comfort after even prolonged periods of use. Well-balanced, the knives in this exceptionally ergonomic range feature a rear bolster as well as a tapered front bolster to allow full length blade sharpening.
The composition of the steel we use in this range is referred to as X50CrMoV15 and denotes the use of 0.5% carbon for outstanding edge retention and 15% chrome for high corrosion resistance. Molybdenum and vanadium (MoV) also work to further strengthen the blade and improve stain resistance. The collection has an official Rockwell hardness rating (HRC) of 55±2 ensuring durability and easy maintenance.
This knife block is an incredibly stylish knife storage solution. Made from toughened glass and beautifully grained blackened ash the knife block has a magnetic strip hidden within the wood to securely hold up to 8 knives dependent on blade width.
The knife block has been exclusively designed in the UK. It has pre-treated wood which needs minimal maintainance. To care for your knife block wipe clean with a soft cloth. Not dishwasher safe.
