Pizza Dough



200g plain flour, plus extra for dusting

100g butter

1 free-range egg

Pinch salt

Water, as necessary, to bind



Blend the flour and butter together in a food processor until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.


Add the egg and salt and blend again to combine.


With the food processor blending continuously on a slow speed, gradually add enough water in a thin stream until the mixture comes together as a dough.


Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured work surface and knead lightly for 2-3 minutes, using your hands.


Sprinkle a little flour onto a baking tray or baking stone then press the dough onto it to form a round, even pizza base.


Top with the ingredients of your choice.
