Our halloumi kebabs are ideal for a lazy summer dinner that’s packed full of flavour. Covered in a sticky, sweet chilli sauce, these halloumi kebabs are truly delicious and relatively quick to cook and serve.

We pair our sweet chilli halloumi with chunks of red onion and yellow bell peppers for added sweetness, but you can add your favourite and preferred veggies. If the weather is kind to you, cook the halloumi kebabs outside on the barbecue grill. However, if the weather is looking risky, bring out the griddle. Remember, charred marks add flavour!

What you'll need...

  • 450g halloumi, cut into generous cubes
  • 3 yellow bell peppers
  • 2 large red onions
For the sticky sauce
  • 2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds, optional

Method

  1. Preheat the BBQ or griddle.

  2. Cut the halloumi, onions and pepper into generous chunks and gently push onto skewers. You can add any of your favourite veggies too!

  3. Lay the halloumi skewers on a baking sheet and coat them with oil to avoid sticking when cooking.

  1. Combine the sweet chilli sauce, honey and lime juice. Brush over the skewers and sprinkle the sesame seeds if desired.

  2. Cook the skewers on the grill for 10 minutes, turning them once they start to blacken or become too dark. Brush them with any spare sauce while they cook.

  3. Once cooked, serve immediately.
