Air fryer pizza

These pizzas are super quick to put together, making them ideal for a delicious lunch or easy dinner on busy weeknights.

We add yoghurt to our pizza dough to replicate a sourdough taste and texture, ensuring that your dough is light, crisp and the right amount of chewy. Experiment with your own toppings.

What you'll need...

  • 300g self-raising flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Sprinkle of salt
  • 300g plain yoghurt
  • 400g plum tomatoes, tinned (or you can use a pre-made pizza sauce)
  • 200g mozzarella cheese, grated
  • Olive oil spray
  • Toppings of your choice, e.g., olives, pepperoni, ham, red onion, etc.

Method

  1. Empty the tomatoes into a sieve over a bowl and drain them by gently squishing with a spoon. Set aside to drain for 10 mins, and once fully drained, place the tomatoes into a bowl for later.

  2. Mix the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Once combined, add the yoghurt and continue mixing with your hands until you form a soft dough. Divide into 4 pieces (1 for each pizza). 

  3. Preheat the air fryer pizza oven to 200C. Place the first pizza base on a pizza stone. Spray the base with olive oil spray and prick the dough with a fork a couple of times. Spread some tomato sauce over the top and cook for 4 minutes. 

  1. Remove and sprinkle over the mozzarella and top with your ingredients. Return to the pizza oven for 6 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the toppings are cooked through.

  2. Remove and repeat with the remaining pizza dough!
