Air fryer pork chops

Transform underrated pork chops into a juicy feast using a makeshift steam effect in your air fryer.

Coated in a mix of seasonings, these pork chops make for a tasty midweek meal. Serve with some leafy greens and couscous or roasted vegetables and potatoes for something more hearty.

What you'll need...

Ingredients

  • 2 thick-cut pork chops
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil

Method

  1. Score the fat on the pork chops. Rub with oil, then apply a mix of salt, pepper, sugar, garlic powder, and paprika.

  2. Add a splash of water to the air fryer base. Cook chops at 200°C for 12-14 minutes, turning halfway.

  3. If possible, stand the chops upright for the final 3 minutes to crisp the fat. Rest for 3 minutes before serving.
