How to get the most from your ProCook cookware Before first use Remove all packaging and labelling from the pan. Wash the pan in warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly. Stainless steel cookware care If stainless steel cookware is overheated it can discolour and become brown or golden in appearance. This is not a fault and does not affect the function of the pan. The surface of stainless steel can develop a blue hue during use, particularly on the interior. This is not a fault with the product and does not affect the pan in use. If using salt during cooking, always add to hot cooking liquid or food. Never put salt directly on the stainless steel surface or in a cold pan as it can cause pitting on the surface of the stainless steel. Special instructions for use on induction hob Induction hobs can deliver extremely high heat outputs, often at double or triple times that of a typical gas hob. Therefore, extra care must be taken to reduce the heat setting as excessive heat will damage the pan. Only use high heat or boost settings for boiling large quantities of water (e.g. for pasta). Reduce the heat setting as soon as the desired temperature has been achieved. Do not use the boost setting to heat oil or fat. Caution: Extra special care should be taken on both induction and ceramic hobs not to move pans around once placed on the hob to prevent possible scratching. Scratched hobs are not covered by your ProCook guarantee. Special guidelines for dishwasher use All pieces in the range are dishwasher safe so cleaning is easy, or alternatively wash by hand. To prevent glass lids becoming cloudy, it is recommended to use rinse aid (which prevents limescale clinging to the glass). This is especially important if you live in a hard water area - further details can be found in your dishwasher instruction manual. Some dishwasher detergents have an abrasive nature and can dull the finish of the pan - this will not impair the performance of the pan.
