Traditionally, woks are distinguished by thin metal sides, which allow for much higher temperatures when stir-fry cooking, and their shape, particularly the round-bottom woks found in China. As part of their adaptation by Western chefs, ProCook Woks feature a flat bottom in order to be used with electric hobs as well as induction hobs, without sacrificing the functionality of the traditional cookware piece.
