Air fryer pork belly strips

Using an air fryer ensures the pork belly fat renders perfectly while keeping the meat juicy and tender.

Serve with a sticky sweet marinade and use to top a bowl of fluffy white rice. This air fryer pork belly recipe is so easy, you'll be serving it up once a week.

What you'll need...

Ingredients

  • 450g pork belly strips
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Method

  1. Pat the pork belly strips dry and rub with oil and the spice mix (salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and sugar).

  2. Pour a little water into the bottom of the air fryer to prevent smoking. Place strips in the basket in a single layer.

  3. Cook at 200°C for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fat is rendered and the edges are crispy.
