Well made block for up to 8 knives. However it only has two parallel slots to take the knives - there are no separators for the different blades. This made it very easy to accidentally knock a knife out of the block if it wasn't fully loaded
..The heavy handle would pivot about the top of the slot and the blade would rise up and the knife fall out of the block.
I would buy a magnetic block if I had the choice again.
