Before first use

Clean the fondue prior to first use (see cleaning instructions below).

Lightly oil the rim of the fondue pan with any cooking oil prior to first use to seal and protect raw edge.

Using your fondue set

Place the base on a level stable surface and place the burner holder in the opening.

If using alcohol fuel, pour alcohol over the tin filled with glass wool

If using either gel fuel or a fel fuel cup intended for this purpose, remove the metal holder with the wool inside and fill.

Place the fondue pan on the metal section of the base. Your fondue is ready to now ready to use.

Light the fondue burner to warm the pan.

The method for making your fondue will vary depending on your chosen recipe. For example, cheese fondue can be prepared directly in the pan placed on the base, whereas meat fondue requires oil to be preheated in the pan on a hob before carefully transferring the pan to the base just before eating.

Keep the pan warm after food preparation and continue stirring to prevent the fondue from sticking to the pan.

Once finished, extinguish the fondue burner immediately and let the components cool down completely before touching them.

Cleaning and maintaining

Allow the fondue pan to fully cool before cleaning. Never fill/plunge a hot pan with cold water.

Wash the fondue pan by hand in warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly.

Do not use hard brushes, abrasive or aggressive solutions or solutions containing sodium carbonate for cleaning.

Not suitable for dishwasher use. If this product is put through a dishwasher any damage is not covered by the guarantee.

Oil the rim of the fondue pan at regular intervals to prevent oxidisation (rust).

Always use oven gloves when moving the fondue pan during cooking as cast iron gets very hot.

Cast iron is brittle and may break if dropped, so take care when moving.

Caution

Never leave the fondue burner unsupervised when lit or filled with gel fuel.

Never move a burning fondue holder.

Always ensure the pan and base are standing on a stable, level and heat resistant surface.

Never place flammable materials such as cloth or paper near the fondue set when in use.

Do not let children operate the fondue set.

During use the fondue set components become extremely hot. Allow the set to cool down completely before touching it.

Only use the fondue pan in combination with the supplied base to prevent damage.

Use silicone, nylon or wooden utensils to avoid scratching the enamel surface.

Not suitable for microwaves or dishwashers.
